THE BEER OPERA
What a bizarre act of creation!

Only beer can heal all wounds, even the imaginary ones: “Redemption to the Redeemer” is what it says at the end of Richard Wagner’s “Parsifal,” and until now no one knew what exactly was meant by that. But now, after the world premiere of Peter Androsch’s “Beer Opera” in the Brauhaussaal in Pfarrkirchen in the district of Rottal-Inn, everything is clear. Wagner meant the union of hops and malt under the sign of the Trinity. At least, this is how the “Parsifal” and “Lohengrin” quotations can be interpreted, with which Androsch put the frothy crown on his unusual work. Peter Jungblut in BR24, Bayerischer Rundfunk
